As a **Security Officer - Armed Utilities Patrol Lead** in **Jacksonville, FL** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining visible and approachable. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the utility location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.

+ Maintain detailed records of activities, incidents, and observations as required by site protocols.

+ Monitor access points and verify the credentials of individuals entering restricted areas.

+ Operate and maintain awareness of surveillance and alarm systems, reporting any irregularities to site management and/or Allied Universal as required.

+ Carry and responsibly handle assigned firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.

+ Assist with emergency evacuations and/or drills as directed by site management.

+ Communicate clearly and professionally with site personnel, visitors, and law enforcement as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.

+ Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.

+ Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Armed guard card or license is preferred.

+ Access control or badge experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
