    Automated Machine Operator

     

    Permanent | $22–$27/hour | Full-Time

     

    We are hiring an experienced **Automated Machine Operator** to support the production of high-quality flooring trim products. This is a **direct hire, permanent opportunity** for a hands-on operator with strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with automated or CNC-controlled machinery.

     

    In this role, you’ll be responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining automated cutting, trimming, and profiling equipment while ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements are met.

     

    Schedule

     

    Full-time. Shifts may include **days, evenings, or weekends** based on production needs.

    What You’ll Do

    + Set up, operate, and monitor automated machinery for cutting, profiling, trimming, wrapping, and packaging flooring trim products

    + Perform equipment changeovers, tooling adjustments, calibration, and enter product parameters into machine controls

    + Inspect materials and finished products to ensure they meet dimensional, visual, and quality standards

    + Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process issues to minimize downtime

    + Perform routine preventive maintenance including cleaning, lubrication, and inspections

    + Work closely with maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to resolve issues and improve processes

    + Complete production, quality, and downtime documentation in compliance with QMS requirements

    + Train and support junior operators as needed

    + Follow all safety policies, including PPE and lockout/tagout procedures

    + Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, waste reduction, and consistency

    What We’re Looking For

    + High school diploma or GED required (technical or vocational training preferred)

    + **5–7 years of experience** operating automated, CNC, or similar manufacturing equipment _(CNC Operator, Machine Technician, Extrusion Operator, Manufacturing Operator, etc.)_

    + Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and machine manuals

    + Experience working in an ISO 9001 or similar quality environment preferred

    + Proficient with measurement tools (calipers, tape measures, gauges)

    + Comfortable using HMIs and basic computer systems

    + Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety

    + Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

    Physical Requirements

    + Ability to stand and operate machinery for extended periods (8–12 hours)

    + Ability to lift up to **50 lbs**

    + Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements

    + Exposure to typical manufacturing environments (noise, dust, temperature changes)
