Description
Growing New York City firm is currently seeking a Bookkeeper. This role is ideal for someone with strong expertise in QuickBooks who thrives in managing financial operations efficiently. You will play a key part in maintaining accurate accounts and ensuring seamless financial processes.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain and reconcile accounts, including bank reconciliations, to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Monitor and process accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Handle job costing and allocation to support project financial management.
• Ensure payroll allocations are correctly recorded and aligned with financial records.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports for review by the controller.
• Assist with invoice processing and check cutting to support financial operations.
• Conduct account analysis and clean up discrepancies to maintain organized financial records.
• Cross-train in payroll functions to provide backup support as needed.
Requirements
• 5+ years of experience with construction accounting.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Experience with job costing and financial reconciliation.
• Familiarity with AIA billing and its integration into accounting systems.
