Description We are looking for a meticulous and reliable Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Rochester, New York. This Contract to permanent position offers the opportunity to contribute to a non-profit organization by ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations. The ideal candidate will excel at managing invoices, processing payments, and maintaining detailed financial records.

Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner to ensure smooth payment operations.

• Verify and code invoices according to organizational standards and procedures.

• Conduct regular check runs and ensure payments are made promptly.

• Reconcile vendor statements to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate records.

• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation for audit purposes.

• Collaborate with internal teams to address payment inquiries and provide necessary support.

• Monitor payment schedules and ensure compliance with company policies.

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts payable activities.

• Identify and implement process improvements for greater efficiency in invoice processing. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role.

• Strong knowledge of invoice processing, coding, and reconciliation procedures.

• Familiarity with check runs and payment schedules.

• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with team members.

• Proficiency in accounting software and basic computer applications.

• Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.

• Prior experience in a non-profit environment is a plus.
