Job Title: Electrical EngineerJob Description
Actively contributes to development projects as a member of local and global technical engineering teams. Designs and lays out printed circuit boards using the Altium software suite. Manages the efficient and timely translation of customer needs into viable marketable solutions. Evaluates electrical systems, products, and applications to design optimal solutions for our customers. Assures product quality during production by designing electrical testing methods at both board and system levels. Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Provides technical support to inside and outside sales personnel. Adheres to Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management (EMS), and Occupational Health & Safety (OSHA) procedures.
Responsibilities
+ Design and layout printed circuit boards using Altium software.
+ Translate customer needs into viable solutions.
+ Evaluate electrical systems and products for optimal design.
+ Ensure product quality by designing electrical testing methods.
+ Prepare technical reports based on collected data and trends.
+ Provide technical support to sales personnel.
+ Adhere to QMS, EMS, and OSHA procedures.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE or MSEE).
+ 1 - 5 years of product development experience in an electronic/electrical manufacturing environment.
+ Experience in power, energy, defense, industrial automation, and/or control industries.
+ Design experience in telecommunications, RF applications & testing, and DC circuits.
+ Analog and digital electronic design expertise.
+ Proficiency with embedded microcontroller designs, ICE and IDE development tools, and C programming.
+ Strong organizational and time management skills.
+ Ability to adapt to changing requirements and circumstances.
+ Strong verbal presentation, writing, and computer application skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Prior experience in the design of Surge Protection Devices is a plus.
+ Ability to manage multiple objectives and changing priorities.
+ Capacity to interpret instructions in various forms, including written, oral, diagram, or schedule.
+ Willingness to work cooperatively and effectively under pressure.
Work Environment
Manufacturing environment with climate control.

This is a Permanent position based out of North Charleston, SC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
