Job Title: Quality TechnicianJob Description
As a Quality Technician, you will operate and maintain surface finishing equipment, including anodizing tanks, plating baths, and coating systems, in accordance with aerospace standards. You will prepare aerospace-grade materials and components for finishing, conduct process trials, inspections, and quality checks to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory specifications. Additionally, you will support engineers in developing and validating finishing processes for new aerospace programs and document process parameters, inspection results, and corrective actions for traceability and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
+ Operate and maintain surface finishing equipment, ensuring adherence to aerospace standards.
+ Prepare aerospace-grade materials and components for finishing processes.
+ Conduct process trials, inspections, and quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications.
+ Support engineers in developing and validating new aerospace finishing processes.
+ Document process parameters, inspection results, and corrective actions.
+ Ensure strict adherence to environmental, health, and safety protocols, including hazardous materials handling.
+ Collaborate with quality assurance and production teams to resolve technical issues and improve process reliability.
+ Train operators and technicians on aerospace finishing procedures and equipment usage.
+ Travel to customer and supplier sites for audits, troubleshooting, and technical support.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum 2–3 years of experience operating and maintaining surface treatment equipment in a manufacturing environment.
+ Proficiency in surface finishing techniques such as anodizing, plating, etching, and coating.
+ Familiarity with aerospace quality standards (AS9100, ISO 9001) and regulatory compliance requirements, including ITAR.
+ Ability to interpret technical drawings, process specifications, and inspection criteria.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associate degree or technical diploma in Materials Science, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience in aerospace finishing processes.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $93000.00/yr.
