Job Title: Portfolio Project Manager
Job Description
The Portfolio Project Manager is responsible for managing the execution of sustaining and new development projects . This role involves developing and maintaining detailed cross-functional resource and project plans, leading teams to execute project deliverables in line with company development procedures, and overcoming project and technical challenges to ensure projects remain on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
+ Manage the portfolio of projects for products across their lifecycle, from initial design to end-of-life, including product launches and enhancements.
+ Lead the end-to-end delivery of electromechanical products, including team selection, management, metrics tracking, reporting, and communication with management.
+ Influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
+ Navigate project changes and maintain a strong understanding of electrical/software engineering.
+ Develop and maintain trusting, collaborative partnerships with functional teams involved in the development and delivery process, including sourcing, testing, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
+ 10+ years of related and successful work experience in project management of electromechanical products in a product manufacturing company.
+ Experience in a highly regulated market or with life-safety products.
+ Strong leadership with the ability to engage and focus a team.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, SharePoint, Teams).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ PMP certification is a plus.
+ Advanced technical degree or MBA is preferred.
+ Familiarity with product-development stage gate program governance and structures.
+ Experience with Confluence/Jira tools and Agile Methodology.
Work Environment
This position is based onsite for four days a week with the flexibility of one remote day. The work environment is high-tech, requiring strong electrical and software engineering understanding.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00/hr.
