    Job Title: Senior Hardware Engineer

    Job Description

    This position requires demonstrated technical proficiency in implementing automation solutions with PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA platforms. The Senior Hardware Engineer will interact directly with the customer and lead a team of engineers in identifying requirements, developing specifications, and shepherding automation solutions through the production process. This position is a leadership role within the business unit and requires strong problem-solving ability, well-balanced people skills, an aptitude for business efficiency, and an interest in creating partnerships. The Senior Hardware Engineer demonstrates success by securing repeat work with both new and existing customers.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead a team of engineers in delivering automation systems for a wide variety of industries.

    + Identify customer requirements and develop detailed specifications.

    + Oversee automation solutions through the production process.

    + Interact directly with customers to ensure satisfaction and foster partnerships.

    + Demonstrate business efficiency and problem-solving abilities to secure repeat work.

    Essential Skills

    + Technical proficiency in PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA platforms.

    + Extensive experience in the design of electrical schematics, including power distribution of 480VAC, 230VAC, 208VAC, 240VAC, 120VAC, and 24VDC.

    + Background in Hazardous Location Control System Design including Intrinsically Safe Circuits, Purged Panels, Explosion Proof Panels, and Division 2 Panel Design.

    + Experience with Surge Protection for Power Distribution and IO Protection.

    + Ability to perform Control Panel FLA, Heating/Cooling, and SCCR Calculations.

    + In-depth understanding of Control Panel production process.

    + Functional understanding of PLC hardware/software platforms such as Rockwell Automation, Siemens, and Modicon.

    + Familiarity with HMI/SCADA hardware/software platforms such as Wonderware, GE iFIX, Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk View, and Siemens.

    + Understanding of DCS hardware/software platforms such as Emerson DeltaV or similar.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience in industries such as Water/Wastewater Treatment, Life Sciences, Building Automation, Food and Beverage, Oil & Gas and Mining.

     

    Work Environment

     

    This position is located onsite with the potential for a hybrid work schedule in the future, offering 2 days remote work.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
