    Job Title: Failure Analysis Engineer

    Job Description

    This quality engineering role is focused on understanding the root cause of product testing failures, with a strong emphasis on electrical and electronics analysis. The role requires the use of specialized equipment such as oscilloscopes and X-ray CT scanners to perform detailed analysis.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct failure analysis to identify and understand the root causes of product testing failures.

    + Utilize specialized equipment like oscilloscopes and X-ray CT scanners for detailed electrical and electronics analysis.

    + Collaborate with manufacturing teams to implement solutions based on analysis findings.

    + Prepare and present reports on findings and recommended actions to prevent future failures.

    Essential Skills

    + At least 3-5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, preferably with experience in failure analysis.

    + Basic quality engineering experience to understand why tests are failing and perform root cause analysis.

    + Proficiency in using oscilloscopes and X-ray CT scanners for electronics analysis.

    + An engineering degree is preferred, with a focus on electronics experience over mechanical.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience in manufacturing engineering.

    + Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

    This is a Contract position based out of Hayward, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr.
