    Job Description

    This position is for a Central Fill pharmacy located in Everett, WA, supplying patient-level prescriptions for a large retail national chain. The role involves working in a high-volume automated refill setting with no patient interaction, phone answering or dealings with insurance companies. Under the supervision of a Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician prepares, packages, and distributes medications in a fast-paced production environment, maintaining a continuous workflow to meet daily production goals. The ideal candidate will have acute attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks productively, either independently or as part of a team.

    Responsibilities

    + Manually fill prescription vials with prescribed tablets and capsules.

    + Perform basic mathematical reasoning to count or calculate the appropriate number of units needed to fill prescriptions.

    + Replenish medication in automated dispensing cells to full capacity, opening large quantities of bottles and cases of product.

    + Prepare cold chain and specialty prescriptions following special requirements for handling and packing.

    + Assist with packing and shipping of prescriptions.

    + Understand and abide by federal and state HIPAA laws as well as pharmacy standard procedures to ensure patient safety and privacy.

    + Complete weekly cycle counts as assigned by the Inventory Manager, requiring audits of cell inventory and counting products at primary and secondary bin locations.

    + Assist with research and identification of the root cause of discrepancies as needed.

    + Demonstrate problem resolution skills: ability to recognize, address, and escalate issues to management.

    Essential Skills

    + Active WA state Pharmacy License during the duration of the contract.

    + National Pharmacy Technician Certification through PTCB or ExCPT required to work past 6 months.

    + Ability to be available for mandatory overtime, which is regular and often up to 1 hour, occasionally 2 hours following a major US Holiday.

    Work Environment

    This position is for an evening shift: Sunday 7am - 3:30pm, Monday-Thursday 2pm - 10:30pm. The role is fast-paced and team-oriented with a safety-first attitude. The work involves pick, pack, and ship high-volume automation.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Everett, WA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
