    Production Planner

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dynamic Production Planner to optimize our production schedule, ensuring we meet customer demand and improve overall efficiency. This role requires analyzing data to enhance planning processes, managing component availability, and collaborating cross-functionally to resolve issues and provide input for sales and operations planning.

    Responsibilities

    + Analyze component availability and workload to assign accurate delivery dates for products.

    + Optimize production schedules and monitor progress.

    + Work cross-functionally with operations teams to resolve issues and handle customer inquiries.

    + Initiate corrective actions and coordinate resolution of issues.

    + Maintain accurate records, review forecasts, and process all order changes and cancellations.

    + Identify excess and obsolete inventory, determine root cause and disposition, and take corrective action.

    + Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and minimize human involvement.

    + Collaborate with buyers on component availability/lead time and production planning team to establish production schedules and optimal production sequencing.

    + Identify and resolve capacity/load issues and address equipment/quality problems.

    + Drive improvements in promise date accuracy for customized orders across multiple value streams.

    Essential Skills

    + Production planning/scheduling

    + Supply chain management

    + Experience with ERP and MRP systems

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

    + Strong communication and collaboration skills

    + Analytical and problem-solving abilities

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Bachelor’s degree in business, materials management, supply chain operations, or related field preferred

    + 3+ years' experience in production planning or a similar role

    + Understanding of manufacturing processes and material flow

    + CPIM certification preferred

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of Anoka, MN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
