Description
Our client is currently seeking Permitting Technicians to join their power distribution team in Maitland, in their permitting group. This work is in support of power distribution design and engineering for major power utility clients.
The permitting team works closely with the design team, researching permitting requirements for the many municipalities in Florida, performing quality assurance activities on the construction plans from the design group, and developing permitting packages for some of the largest power utility companies in the US. This work includes the use of AutoCAD and other proprietary power utility software.
Responsibilities include:
• Collects, analyzes, and interprets quantitative and qualitative data.
• Produces client deliverables such as permit research packages or permit packages, using AutoCAD and other software.
• Performs quality assurance activities, such as proofing data collection and research reports.

Qualifications:
• Experience with roadway/MOT permitting.
• Must have experience with Autocad version 2019 or more recent.
• Other software skills a plus: BOUD, Maximo, MyWorld, Pole Foreman, SEDS, CPA.
• Must be able to work in a team environment to work closely with peers, project managers and field personals.
• Must have good documentation and communication skills to work with clients and other industry professionals.
• Must have strong organizational, time management, analytical, observational & active listening skills.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maitland, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
