    Job Title: LabVIEW Developer

    Job Description

    This is a long-term opportunity to work on a team dedicated to developing LabVIEW software for custom test equipment. The role involves object-oriented programming and designing automated systems for the manufacturing testing of new product developments.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop LabVIEW software used on custom test equipment.

    + Design and develop automated systems for manufacturing testing.

    + Utilize LabVIEW programming in system and fixture development.

    + Select and implement appropriate sensors/transducers for measuring elements such as force, torque, current, and velocity.

    + Participate in LabVIEW code reviews.

    + Review and understand product function and design specifications thoroughly.

    + Provide project updates to engineering leadership regarding status, risks, and priorities.

    + Utilize programming languages such as LabVIEW, C++, C#, and PLCs.

    + Collaborate with test development, automation, data-acquisition, and fixture development teams.

    + Work with communication protocols, including IO-Link, Discrete IO, EtherCAT, EthernetIP, OPCUA, TCP/IP, RS-232, RS-485, and CAN.

    + Engage in test and measurement techniques, including sensor technology, signal conditioning, data acquisition, and manufacturing testing.

    + Create LabVIEW programs from scratch that communicate with devices, databases, and equipment.

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years of recent experience creating LabVIEW programs from scratch.

    + Proficiency in LabVIEW programming and creating programs that communicate with multiple instruments and databases.

    + Strong understanding of test and measurement techniques, including sensor technology and signal conditioning.

    + Familiarity with programming languages such as LabVIEW, C++, C#, and PLCs.

    + Experience working with communication protocols such as IO-Link, Discrete IO, EtherCAT, EthernetIP, OPCUA, TCP/IP, RS-232, RS-485, and CAN.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience in schematic design is an advantage.

    + Ability to work independently and remotely.

    + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Menomonee Falls, WI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr.
