    Job Title: Assembler

    Job Description

    Join a dynamic team focused on assembling subcomponents and finished products. This role involves working with metal products, using hand and power tools, and operating an overhead crane to build units. You will work in a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail and physical stamina.

    Responsibilities

    + Assemble and fit metal products using hand and power tools.

    + Operate hand tools, power tools, and overhead cranes to build heat exchangers.

    + Review assembly diagrams to determine parts and quantities needed and ensure proper placement.

    + Lift 60lbs+ to fit products together and assist in fulfilling product orders daily.

    + Engage in lifting, climbing, standing, walking, and extending arms for extended periods of time.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency with assembly and power tools.

    + Ability to interpret assembly drawings and schematics.

    + Experience with overhead crane operation.

    + Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with blueprints.

    + Competency in using a tape measure.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or GED required within a certain period upon conversion to permanent employment.

    + Physical capability to lift 50lbs+ (40lbs+ independently).

    + Ability to regularly walk, sit, and reach for extended periods of time.

    + Experience with operating hand and power tools is preferred.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a clean, organized, and large manufacturing floor with clearly labeled sections based on materials and production. The first shift operates from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, with the possibility of extending to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The second shift runs from 2:15 PM to 10:45 PM, with potential additional hours on Saturday from 12 PM to 6 PM.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
