Job Title: Slitter Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a diligent Slitter Operator to join our team in a cleanroom environment dedicated to manufacturing resistant film for circuit boards. The role requires maintaining the film free from dust and debris, ensuring quality production in a fast-paced setting. The candidate will be cross-trained in material handling, with a background in shipping and receiving considered advantageous.
Responsibilities
+ Operate a slitter machine and other equipment in the final step of the production process.
+ Load large rolls of film onto machines and cut them into smaller, manageable sizes.
+ Utilize forklifts to transport film rolls and position them on machines.
+ Set parameters for slitting runs and monitor equipment for HMI errors or mechanical issues.
+ Collaborate with a helper to load raw materials and unload final products.
+ Work in a cooler, cleanroom environment and maintain a rapid pace to meet production goals.
+ Operate label machines and computers for inventory tracking and documentation.
+ Assist in packaging operations and handle tasks supporting operators during shifts.
+ Lift and place rolls on conveyor belts, requiring the ability to lift up to 40 lbs repeatedly.
+ Perform data entry and quality checks using measuring tools and documenting product runs.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in machine operation, particularly with slitter or saw machines.
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to measure for quality control.
+ Proficiency in using measuring equipment and performing basic math operations.
+ Capability to read pressure gauges and perform data collection with bar graphs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in CNC machine operation and troubleshooting.
+ Familiarity with forklift operation and material handling.
+ Mechanically inclined with an understanding of general production processes.
+ Willingness to work overtime as assigned.

Work Environment
Work in a smaller facility alongside 32 employees, with a cleanroom environment maintained at a comfortable 66 degrees. The warehouse may not be temperature controlled. Shifts run 5 days a week, with second shift hours from 3 PM to 12:30 AM and openings available for day shifts. Our facility values long-term employment, with employees enjoying a stable and supportive workplace.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Chesterfield, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
