    Job Title: Industrial Assembler - Panel Department

    Job Description

    This role involves working in a clean shop for over 50 hours a week, starting at 5 AM. You will be involved in various departments, learning the assembly and build process from start to finish. The job requires mechanical aptitude and the ability to read a tape measure. Your skill set, based on experience or schooling, will determine your initial department placement.

    Responsibilities

    + Assemble components into cabinets according to drawings or pictures.

    + Connect wires in panels by following directions and installing wire harnesses.

    + Retrofit control panels to customer specifications using hand tools and other small equipment.

    + Install wire channels by placing channels into designated areas and clipping tabs onto prongs.

    + Conduct point-to-point wiring and ensure wires are placed according to numbers and diagrams.

    + Add buss bars to control panels, using forklifts or other machines for heavier materials.

    + Install additional hardware to complete the control panels.

    + Apply stickers, labels, and safety signs to control panel doors.

    + Complete control panel assembly, testing, cleaning, and shipping within a four-week cycle.

    + Work on mechanical assembly of systems and subsystems, requiring measurement skills.

    + Fit pipes for both heating and cooling systems, involving cutting, bending, and threading.

    Essential Skills

    + Strong mechanical aptitude.

    + Ability to perform repetitive labor duties and stand for the entire shift.

    + Aptitude to train and willingness to learn on the job.

    + Desire to advance in the role and take initiative.

    + Basic math skills including adding and subtracting fractions.

    + Experience with power tools, saws, hand tools, and screw guns.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Brazing and soldering skills are a plus and can be taught.

    + Experience in HVAC, plumbing, automotive, carpentry, industrial painting, sandblasting, powder coating, masonry, panel building, wire assembly, and fabrication is beneficial.

    + Preferred candidates have some shop or manufacturing experience, particularly in heavy industrial manufacturing or technical schooling/training.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
