    Job Title: Lathe Machinist

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Lathe Machinist to join our team in an aerospace machine workshop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machines, maintaining high safety standards, and ensuring the quality of the products manufactured.

    Responsibilities

    + Notify supervisor of abnormal situations for corrective action.

    + Make recommendations for improvements in methods of performance of work.

    + Maintain good housekeeping conditions and enforce safety practices.

    + Complete and maintain any required documentation.

    + Run multiple machines at once, including Okumas Captain L370W, Impact LU15, and LB3000 with base controls.

    + Operate multi-spindles such as MS52 and Swiss lathe with over 5 years of experience.

    + Utilize manual machines like Bridgeport, Protrak RLX, and Track DPM for machining tasks.

    Essential Skills

    + Strong geometric dimensional and tolerance skills.

    + Proficient in math skills.

    + Ability to read machining CNC programs with a basic understanding of common 'G' and 'M' codes.

    + Experience with Siemens controls for lathe machine tools.

    + Understanding of basic tabletop gauges such as micrometers, calipers, and bore micrometers.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + A few years of on-the-job training or machine shop experience preferred.

    + Experience with mill and lathe operations.

    + Good verbal and written communication skills.

    + Strong organizational and time management skills.

    + Proficient in problem-solving and analysis.

    Work Environment

     

    You will work in an aerospace machine workshop with shifts available during weekdays, nights, and weekends. The environment is dynamic, focusing on precision and safety, with a variety of machines including CNC and manual operations.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tukwila, WA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $35.00/hr.

    Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job

    classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
