**Pay Range:** $131,248- $220,500 per year
Rush salaries are determined by many factors including, but not limited to, education, job-related experience and skills, as well as internal equity and industry specific market data. The pay range for each role reflects Rush’s anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position. Offers may vary depending on the circumstances of each case.
Summary:
The Senior Director, HR Partners & Employee Relations reporting to the Associate Vice President, HR Partners, Employee & Labor Relations of Rush System for Health (Rush), plays an integral role within the organization by developing and leading a team of HR Business Partners and Employee Relations Managers.
The Sr. Director, HR Partners & Employee Relations is a strategic leader responsible for shaping and executing the organization’s employee relations strategy while promoting a positive, compliant, and inclusive workplace culture. This role aligns HR initiatives with business objectives, drives programs that strengthen engagement and retention, and enhances organizational effectiveness.
Serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, the Sr. Director provides expert guidance on workforce strategy, organizational design, talent management, and complex employee relations matters.

Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s Degree Required.
+ 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in an HR leadership role.
+ Strong expertise in HR business partnerships, employee relations, and HR compliance.
+ Proven ability to influence and build relationships at all organizational levels.
+ Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
+ Experience in managing HR teams and driving strategic initiatives.
Preferred Job Qualifications
+ Master’s Degree
+ PHR/SPHR
+ Prior Healthcare experience
+ Prior experience working in one or more HR “Centers of Excellence” internally or externally.
+ Prior experience with HR technology platforms and data analytics tools

Responsibilities:
+ Support and partner with the AVP, HR Partners, Employee & Labor Relations on strategy and execution of department staffing model, goals, projects and initiatives.
+ Lead, develop, coach and support a team of HR Partners and Employee Relations Managers to provide proactive consultation to business leaders on performance management, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.
+ Provide guidance and mentorship to the HR Business Partner Leadership team to guarantee optimal support to the business clients while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and practices.
+ Develop and execute HR strategies that align with organizational goals and support business growth.
+ Ensure consistency and excellence in HR service delivery across all business units.
+ Oversee employee relations programs, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and practices.
+ Manage complex investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
+ Collaborates with HR Centers of Excellence (recruitment, compensation, benefits, employee experience, and more) to ensure effective partnership and strategy execution.
+ Partner with the Director, Labor Relations to ensure alignment on process, policies and procedures.
+ Partner with Legal, Office Institutional Equity and Compliance teams to mitigate risk and maintain a positive work environment.
+ Builds and oversees training and education plans to support leaders and/or individual contributors on current practices and updates to employment law, Rush key HR initiatives, programs, policies and procedures.
+ Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures that comply with federal, state, and local laws.
+ Monitor trends and legislative changes to ensure proactive compliance.
+ Drive initiatives that promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
+ Support organizational change efforts, ensuring smooth transitions and employee engagement.
+ Utilize HR analytics to identify trends, measure effectiveness, and inform decision-making.
+ Provide regular reports and insights to executive leadership on workforce health and engagement.
