    Job Title: Production Technician

    Job Description

    Pay $35-$40 an hour

     

    2nd Shift 3:30PM-12AM

    Responsibilities

    + Perform complex wiring assignments.

    + Install and repair power, lighting, and electronic control circuits.

    + Provide technical assistance to lower-level maintenance electricians.

    + Improve and maintain preventative maintenance program for company assets.

    + Repair and maintain equipment as needed and/or as directed by PM schedule.

    + Program PLC in Siemens and other specified formats.

    + Maintain OSHA compliance and records for site and equipment.

    + Work with vendors to produce parts for machines and maintain spare part inventory.

    + Maintain building and all maintenance contracts, such as cleaning services, landscaping, etc.

    + Install any additional utility extensions and networking services.

    + Perform any other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Troubleshooting in electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

    + Electromechanical skills.

    + Blueprint and schematic reading.

    + PLC troubleshooting (laptop/ladder logic).

    + Repair of production machines.

    + Electrical troubleshooting and repair.

    + Maintenance technician skills.

    + Preventive maintenance.

    + Wiring and production knowledge.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Required – Maintenance Experience (Trade School, Previous Employment, Certificates, etc.).

    + Required – High competency of pneumatic and hydraulic components.

    + Required – Knowledge of basic electrical/electronic circuits.

    + Required – Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints.

    + Required – Proficiency in English (reading, writing, comprehension).

    + Required – Minimum of five years maintenance experience/preventative maintenance program facilitation.

    + Required – Ability to program PLC in Siemens and specified formats.

    + Preferred – Knowledge and/or skills in metal fabrication (MIG, TIG, grinders, saws, tap-n-die, etc.).

    + Preferred – Associate's Degree in a related field.

    + Preferred – Intermediate computer skills.

    + Preferred – OSHA electrical certification.

    + Preferred – Working knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.

    + Required – Ability to use a calculator and a tape measure.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a well-lit conveyor belt manufacturing facility. The position operates on a 2nd shift from 3:30 pm to midnight.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Suwanee, GA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
