Job Title: BAS Technician
Job Description
The BAS Technician plays a pivotal role in investigating building systems and documenting operational data. This position involves preparing recommendations for system improvements, maintenance programs, and evaluations. The technician acts as a technical leader on installations and upgrades to facilities systems, working under the general supervision of the Engineering Project Manager and with technical oversight from engineers.
Responsibilities
+ Investigate and document operational data of building systems.
+ Prepare recommendations for system improvements and maintenance programs.
+ Perform installations and upgrades to facilities systems.
+ Act as a technical leader during installations and upgrades.
+ Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and regulatory stipulations and codes.
Essential Skills
+ Advanced knowledge in specialties such as Fire Detection System, Emergency Power Distribution, Fire Protection System, Plumbing, Air/Water Balancing, Domestic Water, Chilled Water/Heating Water, Digital Controls and Monitoring, Pneumatic Tube System, High Voltage Maintenance and Switching, Water Treatment, Medical Gas, Refrigeration, Generator, Automatic Transfer Schemes, Instrumentation and Metering, Data Acquisition, Sanitary Systems, Power Logic System, Continuum/StruxureWare, PLC Programming, Metasys, Siemens, Towline/conveying systems, and Specialized Water Systems (e.g., RO/DI).
+ High Voltage Certification.
+ Expertise in electrical, mechanical, and facilities maintenance.
+ Experience in HVAC systems.
+ Proficiency in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma.
+ Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience working with Building Automation Systems.
+ Must be willing to complete pre-employment medical screening.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $47.00/hr.
