Job Title: Commercial Construction Sheet Metal Shop Foreman

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Construction Sheet Metal Shop Foreman to lead our HVAC duct fabrication shop. The ideal candidate will have experience in sheet metal ductwork, proven leadership skills, and the ability to manage a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

+ Supervise, train, and motivate a team of sheet metal fabricators and trainees.

+ Assign and monitor daily work orders to meet production goals and delivery schedules.

+ Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings according to SMACNA standards.

+ Oversee the layout, cutting, forming, and assembly of rectangular duct systems.

+ Ensure all fabricated components meet dimensional accuracy and quality requirements.

+ Coordinate with project managers and installers to ensure materials are ready for field installation.

+ Maintain material inventory and manage shop supplies and equipment.

+ Enforce safety policies and participate in safety meetings.

+ Inspect finished ductwork and fittings for quality and compliance.

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient shop environment.

+ Track time, material usage, and job costs.

Essential Skills

+ 5–10 years of HVAC duct fabrication experience, including 2–3 years in a lead or supervisory role.

+ Understanding of sheet metal materials, fabrication processes, and SMACNA standards.

+ Ability to read and interpret mechanical and shop drawings.

+ Hands-on experience operating fabrication equipment (plasma cutters, brakes, shears, Pittsburgh machines, etc.).

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a physically demanding environment.

+ Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

+ Basic computer skills (MS Office, fabrication software).

+ Commitment to workplace safety and high-quality craftsmanship.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 10 years of commercial plumbing experience.

+ 5 years of supervision experience.

+ Experience with HVAC sheet metal and installation.

+ Proficiency in blueprint reading.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Lansdale, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $83200.00/yr.
