Job Duties and Responsibilities
This role is responsible for the lifecycle management of all **Transport Carrier Services** , ensuring accuracy, maintaining vendor compliance, measuring circuit performance, resolving network issues promptly, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Ensure solutions adhere to defined standards and best practices and/or assist in the development of these standards and best practices.
+ Research, analyze, and troubleshoot complex problems
+ Able to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with strict deadlines, both as an individual contributor and team player
+ Participate in knowledge transfer, documentation and information sharing while staying abreast of new technology/technical areas
+ Coordinate ordering and implementation of transport between vendors and deployment teams
+ Manage and maintain an inventory of active transport services including NNIs and XCs
+ Manage escalations and expedite with vendors to ensure timely service delivery
+ Coordinate input of network data into industry databases and associated reporting
+ Address issues and questions from implementation and operations groups
+ Assist with vendor relations and communications
+ Track metrics and work with different vendors to ensure SLA compliance with contractual billing and performance obligations
+ Lead continuous cost-reduction initiatives for all carrier transport services (e.g., fiber, TDM, Ethernet, wave services)
+ Identify and validate opportunities for circuit decommissioning and rate renegotiation
+ Ensure all circuit orders (ASRs, disconnects, supplements) are reflected correctly on invoices and in the inventory system
+ Maintain the definitive transport circuit inventory and cost database (TEM/ITAM platform)
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
+ BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
+ 8+ years in the Telecom industry
Skills and Qualifications:
+ Long/Mid haul, NNI provisioning and testing
+ Telecom vendor management experience
+ Basic understanding of data and voice network architecture
+ Advanced understanding of telecom ordering processes
+ Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
+ Ability to identify and understand complex problems/issues and develop solutions
+ Ability to manage multiple commitments simultaneously
+ Excellent attention to details
+ Outstanding organizational and analytical skills
+ Excellent customer service skills
+ Able to work independently and inside a team
+ Understanding of Cisco routing commands
+ Professional networking certifications a plus- CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or equivalent
+ Exfo Circuit testing experience
+ Expert proficiency in Tableau and Calero experience is a plus
+ Proven ability to negotiate with and manage carrier relationships; excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Strong understanding of common telecom services (e.g., Ethernet, Wavelength Data Center)
Salary Ranges
Compensation: $83,160.00/Year - $118,800.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
