The Opportunity
As the Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible for providing superior maintenance and administrative planning services to internal and external customers, especially for our maintenance technical personnel assigned to the operational areas in the mill. In this role, you will execute the critical planning, scheduling, coordinating, and reporting of repair activities to ensure operational effectiveness.

\u2022 2 to 3 years in manufacturing maintenance environment
\u2022 Knowledge of Pulping & Paper Making Processes and Equipment
\u2022 Demonstrated successful track record of effective problem-solving
\u2022 Drives for continuous improvement while managing expectations and results
\u2022 Possess advance computer skills working with Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Word
\u2022 Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
\u2022 Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
\u2022 Ability to maintain complex records and to assemble and organize data
\u2022 Possess strong mechanical acumen
\u2022 Possess strong collaboration skills with stakeholders across functions
\u2022 Ability to set priorities, achieve deadlines, and manage multiple tasks at the same time
\u2022 Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills
\u2022 Possess strong written and verbal communication skills to deliver messages to customers and Smurfit Westrock employees
How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:
\u2022 Maintain backlog of work orders and move work orders to the ready-to-schedule phase, and review technician feedback upon work completion
\u2022 Track the progress of work order flow through the work order system by performing plant and/or maintenance department day\u2010to\u2010day reviews
\u2022 Plan all maintenance work activities associated with maintenance work orders and record technician troubleshooting feedback in SAP
\u2022 Conduct initial screening of incoming work orders, identify scope of the work orders, and analyze required level of planning
\u2022 Coordinate outage planning activities such as scope identification and control, scheduling, risk assessments, execution, and continuous improvement initiatives
\u2022 Partner with Validators to ensure that plans and schedules are aligned based on the available equipment to support the mill
\u2022 Incorporate safety requirements for all work orders and jobs to support and drive safe work behaviors
\u2022 Oversee the end-to-end planning and execution of work orders and resolve any work order issues
\u2022 Maintain real-time equipment bill of materials in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), including parts that have changed and update new equipment data
\u2022 Comply with ISO, Safety, Environmental and other technical codes, and regulations
\u2022 Provide leadership and coaching in safety, training, and work allocation to uphold the standards of maximum safety for all maintenance technicians
Compensation Offered:
\u2022 Pay (or pay range): $74,625 - $124,375 DOE (Junior, Intermediate, Senior levels)
\u2022 Bonus/Commission Eligible: Yearly Short-Term Incentive Program (STIP) Bonus based off metrics
