    Support Center - Irving

     

    The Sr. Product Designer is part of the custom framing product development team whose function is to support the product design process with the goal of creating innovative and trend-right product offerings focused on framing. The Sr. Product Designer will play a significant role as part of the Product Development Team to successfully develop new and innovative products. The ultimate goal is to provide our customers with innovative and trend-right product offerings with newness, freshness and uniqueness.

     

    Major Activities

    Product Design

    + Design and develop new frames and products for the Artistree division.

    + Partner with CAF design team to develop cohesive product assortment.

    + Partner with Merchant team to develop products that support business strategy.

    + Work with factory partners to ensure proper execution of product designs.

    + Monitor industry for new materials, techniques and finishes that can be applied to product designs.

    + Prototype new product designs monitoring quality and usability standards.

    + Design products to spec to support B2B opportunities.

    Product Photography

    + Conduct item photography for Framer’s Point and Online product imagery.

    + Conduct product photography for marketing and store educational use.

    + Edit and refine photographic images to a production ready state.

    Graphic Design

    + Perform graphic design functions to develop imagery and design features for Artistree products.

    + Produce conceptual renderings for products and presentations for merchandising and marketing review.

    Trend Monitoring

    + Monitor industry design and style trends.

    + Be a participant and design resource in building trend books and new product concepts.

    + Travel to decor and furniture shows and report back to the team with findings.

    + Other duties as assigned

    Minimum Education

    + Bachelors degree

    Minimum Special Certifications or technical skills

    + Able to work with most computer design software. Specifically with Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop 3-D

    Minimum Type of experience the job requires

    + Minimum of five years experience in design

    Preferred Education

    + Graphics or Industrial Design

    Preferred Special Certifications or technical skills

    + Solid sketching and drawing skills preferred

    + Software knowledge is also preferred

    Preferred Type of experience the job requires

    + Product development in Home Decor or Frames is desired for this position
