The Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) organization is the engine that powers Microsoft's cloud services. The DC Demand Planning Team is looking for a talented **Business Analyst Intern** . This role is responsible for conducting data analysis to deliver insights for data center demand planning to support executive decisions and facilitate strategic recommendations. They will build strong working relationships, deepen expertise in data sources and tools, and support the creation of self‑service analytics that enable data‑driven decisions. They also will help evaluate the impact of business or product decisions by applying sound analytical methods.

Responsibilities

+ Analyzing a variety of data to develop insights that enable effective data center demand planning.

+ Applying systematic approaches to reinforce quality, informed by a comprehensive understanding of the business landscape to drive strategic decisions

+ Articulates ideas clearly and engages with stakeholders convincingly. Adapts their communication style to different audiences, ensuring messages are both understood and persuasive. Fosters a cooperative environment to ensure well-defined objectives and clear understanding of mutual project or program goals.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

+ Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field.

+ Must have at least 1 semester/term remaining following the completion of the internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience applying analytics in a number of different business situations and a proven ability to develop insights from complex data

+ Desmonstrated project management skills

+ Understanding of modeling techniques and visualization creation

The base pay range for this internship is USD $4550.00 - $9190.00 per month. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $6210.00 - $10080.00 per month.
