The Manufacturing Quality Engineer will lead quality initiatives across the plant, from identifying deficiencies to implementing effective solutions. This role will work closely on the floor with operations to enhance product quality, drive process improvements, and champion Lean manufacturing principles. This position is critical to ensure our products meet the highest standards of excellence and customer satisfaction

How You'll Create Possibilities
+ Identify and eliminate the root causes of quality issues through collaboration with operations teams.
+ Serve as a subject matter expert for quality systems, providing guidance and mentorship to engineers and technicians.
+ Champion continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to achieve measurable cost and quality gains.
+ Communicate project opportunities, progress, and results effectively across all stakeholders.
+ Drive proactive problem-solving and escalate critical issues when necessary to ensure timely resolution.
+ Manage and execute quality improvement projects from initiation to completion, ensuring measurable results.
+ Define and monitor Critical to Quality (CTQ) characteristics to maintain product standards.
+ Support the development and implementation of factory quality measurement systems for continuous improvement.
+ Analyze complex data trends to identify systemic issues and lead strategic corrective actions.
+ Influence capital investment decisions by providing quality impact assessments and recommendations.
+ Partner with cross-functional teams, including suppliers to address plant quality issues and achieve improved scrap, yields, and defective rate.
+ Support Lean process improvements to support a Lean Production System and reduce the cost of quality.
+ Promote safety first culture and follow safety rules and procedures.
What You'll Bring to Our Team
+ BS in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
+ Must have 7+ years with Manufacturing Operations, Quality, NPI, and/or process improvement.
+ Extensive experience with data interpretation and problem-solving in high-volume manufacturing.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
+ Extensive experience with Lean manufacturing; Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) strongly preferred.
+ Effective communicator with strong organizational and project management skills.
Working Conditions:
+ High-volume manufacturing environment requiring PPE.
+ Frequent walking in plant areas.
+ Travel (up to 15%) to suppliers and other manufacturing locations as needed.
+ Able to flex schedule to support off-shifts as needed.
+ Located in Decatur, AL (100% on-site).
