Forklift Driver| Greensboro, North Carolina| HIRING IMMEDIATELY

Compensation

+ Minimum rate of $17.41 an hour

+ Shift differential for night shift

Available Shifts

+ 7 AM - 7 PM on a 2-2-3 Schedule

+ 7 PM- 7 AM on a 2-2-3 Schedule

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

+ Operate all warehouse equipment required to transfer finished goods and other products tothe appropriate areas. All warehouse equipment includes, but is not limited to, forklift, andclamp truck.

+ Load and unload trucks efficiently following department standards.

+ Moving and transferring materials and finished goods in a high-volume productionenvironment.

+ Support WMS functions related to inventory and load management (IE. Pick list, PGI).

+ Check the accuracy of the finished product count, product ID, order destination, and carrierID before loading any vehicle and accurately complete all required paperwork

+ All transfer of products and materials must be performed with a high degree of accuracyand accountability and follow the established standard processes and procedures.

+ Must adhere to all safety standards, Standard Work Instruction Sheet (SWIS), and companypolicies.

+ Maintain work area in an organized, safe, and clean manner

+ All duties are performed with a focus on safety.

+ Know the locations of and how to operate emergency stop buttons and fire extinguishers.

+ Complete the forklift checklist which includes daily inspection of forklifts.

+ Ability to change the forklift propane tank required.

+ The job responsibilities in this job description are not all-inclusive; other duties may beassigned as needed.

+ Will be exposed to hot temperatures during the summer months and cold temperatures during the winter months.

+ There may be some exposure to dust inside the warehouse.

+ Exposure to machine noise is possible. Ear protection is provided but not required.

+ Ability to maintain single task focus and situational awareness.

+ Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.

+ Frequent: Sitting, kneeling/crawling/bending: stair climbing, carrying: 0-40 lbs. for 5-10 feet, out-reaching, standing, walking

+ Occasional: Stoop/Squat, Ladder/Steps Climbing, Bend/Twist

+ Repetitive Use of wrist, hands, fingers, shoulder, elbow, hip, ankles, head, neck

Qualifications

+ Minimum of one year recent forklift experience preferred

+ Minimum of one year sit-down experience required

+ Must be able to work 12 hour shift

+ Must obtain and maintain valid Pactiv Forklift and Safety Certifications during employment.

+ Must have proven experience working in a fast paced Warehouse/Logistics environment

+ Prior use of RF barcode reader and vehicle mounted (VMU) computer systems preferred

+ Must be able to work in a fast paced environment

+ Push-pull attachment operation a plus

+ Basic knowledge of mathematics

+ Ability to communicate orally and in writing (English required)

+ Must be self-directed and have the ability to work with little supervision

+ Will be required to be certified in Lockout/Tag Out and Forklift Operation upon assignment
