    JOB OVERVIEW

    **The Sports Marketing Specialist -** MX for Bell - will play a pivotal role in enhancing and promoting our brand through strategic sports marketing initiatives & athlete management and services. This individual will be responsible for the management of the North America professional and amateur motocross program and ensure that Bell products are best represented in and out of competitive use. Additionally, this role will focus on the recruitment, management, and development of top motocross athletes to ensure a strong and competitive brand representation.

     

    This position reports to the Marketing Manager for Bell and is based out of our

     

    Irvine, CA office.

    As the Sports Marketing Specialist - MX, you will have an opportunity to:

    • Develop and manage North American Motocross roster across Supermotocross series &

    Amateur racing

    • Identify and capitalize on emerging trends, technologies, and opportunities as it relates to

     

    athlete marketing within motocross industry or opportunities with ability to scale Bell brand

    approach

    • Execute Sports Marketing plans in support of cross-functional teams, spanning: athlete signings,

     

    rider product summits, sales meetings, social campaigns, content productions, etc.

     

    • Partner with North America marketing team to provide regular communications to internal and

     

    external sales partners, relating to athlete VLP, opportunities to leverage in market activations

    and OEM relations

    • Identify, recruit, and manage relationships with top motocross athletes & influencers

    • Support the Global go-to-market function by leveraging athletes to promote key seasonal

    initiatives and campaigns

    • Manage fulfillment of amateur athlete contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships

    • Address and resolve any issues or concerns athletes may have in relation to products and

    sponsorship

    • Accurately plan budget in relation to Sports Marketing for the Motocross category, specific to

     

    product fulfillment and annual travel plans for rider services.

     

    • Attend all major Supermotocross & Amateur racing events, providing best in class rider services

    • Manage rider services vehicle with product fulfillment, travel schedule/planning and

    maintenance service plan

    • Assist R&D process as it relates to athlete feedback, ensuring comprehensive tracking and

    communication with product teams

    • Provide timely and detailed feedback from athletes to product development teams, emphasizing

     

    necessary changes to keep development on track.

     

    • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders, including OEM relations,

     

    media outlets, test riders, team leadership/personnel, agents

     

    Assist in managing the visual line plan and creative briefing for professional and amateur

     

    rosters,

    You have:

    + Minimum 2-4 years of experience with all responsibilities listed above - marketing, product coordination, public and athlete relations or Agency experience

    + Excellent writing ability with keen understanding of grammar, composition, creative & business writing

    + Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point-Publishing/design software

    + Proven experience

    + A strong understanding of the consumer/retail environment and competitive marketplace

    + Strong strategist and pro-active leader with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

    + Must be able to manage projects within allocated budgets

    + Excellent communications, presentation and project management skills

    + Proven ability to establish and maintain honest and effective working relationships with individuals from all backgrounds

    + Self-starter - ability to define objectives, prioritize workload and produce deliverables

    + Collaborator - ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external partners to define and execute programs and build consensus for best results

    + Multi-tasker - ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously

    + Strong blend of analytical, decision making and creative problem-solving skills

    Pay Range:

    Annual Salary: $71,200.00 - $85,000.00

     

    The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
