Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking a detail-oriented individual with a strong mathematical background and a passion for teaching and mentoring to join our team as a prime contractor supporting the Navy s Strategic Weapon System (SWS). The successful candidate will possess a strong foundation in engineering, mathematics, or physics. This role requires exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.
The selected candidate will:
+ Derive critical engineering tolerances and specifications for complex systems
+ Analyze and interpret data to inform engineering requirement verification and validation
+ Serve as a technical expert in collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate technical risks
+ Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and team members
+ Develop and maintain technical documentation, including reports, manuals, and other materials
+ Support on-site system-level testing, data collection, data analysis, and documentation
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement engineering solutions

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Typical education and related/relevant work experience: Master s degree in Math, Engineering or Physics with a strong background in mathematics and four years of relevant experience.
Additional skills/experience required:
+ A track record of technical expertise, strong attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks
+ Proven ability to analyze complex engineering systems and specifications
+ Experience working with complex systems and technical teams
+ Excellent technical writing and communication skills, including the ability to provide clear and concise presentations on advanced technical concepts
+ Demonstrated time management and organizational skills with the ability to interpret and follow requirements
+ Excellent interpersonal skills used when interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with colleagues, and customers
+ Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment and make sound decisions while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations
+ Eligible for a Top Secret (TS) security clearance
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
+ 6 8 years of relevant professional experience
+ Active DoD Top Secret security clearance
+ Experience as a Teaching Assistant (TA) or tutor, demonstrating strong mentorship and teaching abilities
+ Current D-5 TRIDENT SWS Technical / Operational Knowledge
+ SSBN Missile Technician or Navigation Electronics Technician with TRIDENT II SWS/SWSSS deployed experience
+ Working knowledge of the Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) organization
+ Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) or Digital Engineering (DE) experience
+ Knowledge of CAD/CAM/3D Modeling
+ Experience with configuration management software tools, e.g. Windchill
+ Working knowledge of IBM Rational DOORS software
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $115779 - $196825
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
