Glengariff Rehab and Healthcare Center is searching for an Assistant Director of Maintenance to join their growing team.

Assistant Director of Maintenance

The Assistant Director of Maintenance is to assist the Director of Maintenence.

The Assistant Director will be ensuring that the resident’s rooms are in good repair, as well as ensure a safe, clean, and orderly environment and help maintain the grounds.

The Assistant will help to develop the work schedules of the staff and inspect their work to make sure they are meeting the facility’s cleanliness expectations.

The Assistant will also make sure that the staff complies with infection control procedures and will report directly to the Director of Maintenance.

Candidates for this position should have at least 2 years of experience working in a Managerial capacity in a Maintenance department within a Healthcare setting, and have excellent communication skills, be personable and able to multi-task very well.

Must be able to lift, push, pull, move equipment, supplies, etc in excess of fifty(50) pounds as required.

Assist in the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the department.

Assist in recruiting, selecting and training competent department personnel.

Assist with inspecting the facility on a regular basis to ensure that the grounds, facility and equipment are maintained in accordance with established policies and procedures. Maintain appropriate records of the test results.

Assist with establishing an effective preventative maintenance program of cleaning, painting, maintaining facility equipment, etc... as necessary or approved.

Assist with mainting the heating/cooling system in proper working condition, as specified by the manufacturer.

Assist with the requisition, control, and maintain an adequate level of required maintenance supplies and equipment.

Salary: Up to $60,000 a year (Based on Experience)
