    Production Quality Supervisor

     

    Join our team in South Windsor, CT, as a Production Quality Supervisor! This leadership role offers strong growth potential as you oversee quality control processes on the production floor, ensure quality standards are met, and lead a team of 15-25 employees.

     

    This is a 100% onsite position in South Windsor, CT

    Job Specifics:

    + Shift: Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 PM

    + Compensation: $70,000-$75,000 + Annual Bonus

    Responsibilities:

    + Oversee and manage quality assurance processes on the production floor.

    + Sign off on all jobs, verifying materials, indicia, and adherence to quality specifications.

    + Supervise and manage a team of 15-25 Quality Control Inspectors and Technicians, both permanent and temporary.

    + Ensure all Quality Control personnel receive proper technical, quality, and ISO training.

    + Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards for all processes.

    + Lead investigations into quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.

    + Monitor and analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

    + Prioritize and delegate inspection tasks, ensuring timely completion and accurate reporting.

    + Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to resolve quality-related issues.

    + Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions.

    + Enforce safety standards and promote a culture of quality awareness.

    + Mentor, counsel, empower, and develop quality control staff; conduct performance appraisals.

    + Oversee the calibration and maintenance of quality control equipment.

    Qualifications:

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + 3-5 years of experience in a quality assurance role within a manufacturing or production environment.

    + 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably within a quality control setting.

    + Thorough understanding of quality control principles, methods, and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).

    + Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    + Excellent attention to detail and follow-up skills.

    + Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a diverse environment.

    + Strong time management skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

    + PC literacy with proficiency in Windows, Outlook, Excel, and Word.

    + Strong oral and written communication skills.

    + Experience with statistical process control (SPC) is a plus.
