Position: Poultry Science Adjunct Instructor

Department: Division of Life Sciences & Public Safety

Reports to: Program Chair for Agriculture Science and Divisional Academic Dean

Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and experience. No State of the Georgia benefits.

Responsibilities:

+ Discipline appropriate teaching and assessment techniques in classroom and labs.

+ Maintain student records.

+ Advise students regarding program requirements and career goals.

+ Participate in college recruitment and retention efforts.

+ Regularly evaluate student achievement and provide student feedback.

+ Attend required staff meetings.

+ Complete ALL required trainings.

+ Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in communication with students, administrators, faculty & staff.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Poultry Science or related degree with extensive experience in poultry production.

+ Proficiency in teaching methodology, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and guidance.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Master’s degree in Poultry Science.

+ Previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level.

+ Experience with online teaching platforms.

+ Strong communication skills and work ethic.
