Export Control Requirement
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Key job responsibilities
- Aggregate and convert technical specifications for Leo's Ground and Space subsystems, including SDN Controller, and Agents on Customer Terminals, Gateways, Satellite, AWS services and all interconnects
- Establish mechanisms to manage scrums, Jira tasks, budgets, dashboards, schedule and overall delivery for the SDN Networking SW
- Map HW / SW co-dependencies and track accuracy of plans and technical developments for all major milestones in Leo.
A day in the life
In this role, you will build and scale Leo's Networking and Services Development Program. You are accountable for creating and working the complex multi-subsystem program plan for the development, test and delivery of Leo's end to end SW Networking services.
About the team
The Software Defined Network Control Plane team is building the brain driving the Leo Network. Innovation is in our DNA and we tackle challenging problems in a dynamic network. It is our responsibility to ensure that the network works and our customer have a one of a kind experience using our service.
Our team will design, implement and operate the control plane that provides a high throughput telecom service comprised of Low Earth Orbit satellites, customer terminals, gateways, Cloud services and terrestrial network infrastructure that connects into public and private networks.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
