    Job Description

    We are seeking a professional, friendly, and highly-motivated individual to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service and organizational skills, have the ability to anticipate surgical needs, and aid in preparing the operating room for daily procedures. A successful candidate will have the mindset that no task is too big or too small. This role involves assisting in the preparation, maintenance, and inventory of the operating room, with a strong focus on patient safety.     Responsibilities

    + Verify with managers that the pre-operative checklist is complete.

    + Conduct preparation, sterilization, maintenance, and stocking of operating room supplies.

    + Assist the RN in preparing instruments, supplies, and other necessary tasks for the operating room.

    + Assist in the proper cleaning of the operating room.

    + Ensure the day-to-day assurance of sterile and non-sterile instruments and equipment.

    + Assist in ensuring proper storage and handling of instruments and equipment.

    + Ensure operating rooms are fully stocked and check expiration dates of supplies.

    + Participate in the surveillance of quality control measures.

    + Engage in team meetings and continuing education.

    + Be willing to learn and teach others.

    + Assist with day-to-day troubleshooting and logistical needs.

    + Proactively identify maintenance issues and address them immediately.

    + Maintain cleanliness and ambiance.

    + Maintain clear communication with management about operations.

    + Work alongside owners, advisors, injectors, and team to build an exceptional client experience.

    Essential Skills

    + 2+ years of clinical experience, with a concentration in plastic and reconstructive surgery preferred.

    + Fully certified Surgical Technician.

    + Strong communication skills.

    + Ability to adhere to protocols and policies.

    + Teamwork-oriented mindset with a 'can do' attitude.

    + Flexibility, dependability, punctuality, and empathy.

    + Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

    + Ability to maintain professionalism in the workplace.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + A 'no job too small' entrepreneurial attitude.

    + Experience in sterilization and prepping.

    + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

    + Knowledge of surgical instrumentation.

    Work Environment

    This position will be split between the Manhattan and Long Island offices. Candidates must be able to travel to the Woodbury office and Manhattan twice per week. The practice is open from 6am-7pm, with a typical schedule consisting of 4 ten-hour shifts per week. Flexibility to work within these hours is required, with a likelihood of working later shifts, such as 8am-6pm or 9am-7pm, though early shifts starting at 6am may occasionally be necessary to help with coverage.     This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $50.00/hr.
