We’re seeking a highly skilled, detail‑oriented Electrical Engineer to lead the design of electrical, lighting, and low‑voltage systems across a wide range of building types. From advanced electrical rooms to full campus‑scale distribution networks, you’ll be at the center of some of our most impactful, high‑performance engineering projects.
What You’ll Do
In this high‑impact engineering role, you will:
+ Independently design complete electrical systems, applying company standards and project-specific criteria.
+ Perform load calculations, voltage drop analyses, short‑circuit and coordination studies, and distribution system layouts.
+ Develop and coordinate electrical rooms, risers, one-lines, and advanced system configurations.
+ Conduct ComCheck lighting calculations and ensure full code compliance.
+ Apply NEC, NFPA, energy codes, and industry best practices with confidence.
+ Lead coordination efforts with architects, mechanical engineers, and consultants.
+ Manage project documentation, deliverables, and engineering quality control.
+ Attend project meetings and represent the electrical discipline with professionalism.
+ Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs and provide clear, actionable engineering feedback.
+ Mentor junior engineers—providing training, redlines, and onboarding support to help grow the team.
What You Bring
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
+ 6+ years of electrical engineering experience in building systems (MEP).
+ Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
+ Demonstrated experience preparing lighting, power, and systems packages.
+ Deep understanding of NEC, NFPA, energy codes, and electrical engineering fundamentals.
+ Experience reviewing work and guiding Level 1 and Level 2 engineers.
Bonus Skills & Qualifications
+ Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
+ Strong organization, time management, and project leadership abilities.
+ Experience coordinating with consultants and attending client meetings.
+ EIT or PE license (or progress toward licensure).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $60.00/hr.
