Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. This role is a Contract to permanent position, providing an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills and grow within a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable processes, including invoice management, vendor relations, and accrual accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding and adherence to company policies.

• Perform three-way matching to verify purchase orders, invoices, and receipts for accuracy.

• Handle check runs and ensure payments are correctly scheduled and executed.

• Utilize Microsoft Great Plains Accounting software to input data and maintain records.

• Process accruals and reconcile accounts to support month-end and year-end closing activities.

• Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and resolve issues related to invoices or payments.

• Monitor and maintain vendor accounts, ensuring accurate documentation and timely communication.

• Assist in maintaining compliance with accounting procedures and regulations.

• Support the team in creative problem-solving for operational challenges.

• Contribute to team goals by sharing insights and fostering a collaborative work environment. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or related accounting roles.

• Proficiency in Great Plains Accounting and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong knowledge of invoice coding, three-way matching, and accrual accounting.

• Ability to process vendor invoices with a high degree of accuracy.

• Familiarity with purchase orders and check runs.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.

• Commitment to upholding accounting standards and procedures.
