Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in managing freight and customer billing processes with precision and efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong organizational skills and a keen eye for accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Process freight billing and ensure accurate invoices are prepared and sent to customers.

• Handle direct billing tasks for clients, maintaining compliance with company policies.

• Verify billing data to ensure completeness and resolve discrepancies promptly.

• Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams regarding billing inquiries and updates.

• Maintain organized records of billing transactions and documentation.

• Collaborate with team members to improve billing processes and enhance efficiency.

• Monitor billing workflows to ensure timely completion of tasks.

• Generate reports related to billing activities for management review.

• Follow established procedures and guidelines for billing operations. Requirements • Prior experience in billing or a similar role is required.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.

• Proficiency in using billing software or systems.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

• Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.

• Ability to identify and resolve billing discrepancies efficiently.

• Familiarity with freight billing processes is a plus.

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in billing operations.
