• Seasonal Maintenance Technician

    Overview:

    The Mechanic Technician provides skilled technical services on various ride structures, vehicles, and other components.   This position will also include landscaping duties.

    Responsibilities:

    Performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and overhauls of amusement park rides and devises.  Must also be willing and able to perform and/or assist in other Park repairs and maintenance that is deemed necessary by Supervision.

     

    + · Troubleshooting and/or perform general maintenance of mechanical devices and vehicles to assure proper function and safety.

    + · Working with hydraulics, gearboxes, pneumatics, and conveyors, and performing millwright work.

    + · Climbing/Inspecting track and structure.

    + Trim trees and shrubs

    + Pick up clippings from trimming

    + Remove and plant shrubs

    + Pick up storm damage debris and branches

    + Apply fertilizer, mulch, and other planting materials

    + Spread rock

    + Pull weeds

    + Remove stumps

    + Irrigation repairs

    + Rake up leaves and clippings

    + Other duties as required

    Qualifications:

    + Basic knowledge of the operational aspects of machinery components.

    + · A valid Driver's License and High School Diploma or valid GED.

    + · A basic set of hand tools.

    + · Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

    + · Ability to perform various physical activities, such as climbing, crawling, and lifting, from various heights on ride structures.

    + · Vocational or technical trade certifications.

    + · Demonstrate communication skills in English (reading, writing, and speaking), and ability to keep accurate written records.

    + Must have basic landscape knowledge or be willing to learn

    + Establish and maintain a cordial and effective working relationship with fellow employees

    + Must be able to handle frequent kneeling, bending, digging, squatting, pulling, etc.

    + Must be able to lift over 50 pounds

    + Must be able to use a shovel, pick axe, planting bar, rake, and other landscape equipment

    + Must be able to tolerate natural elements (heat, sun, wind, rain) for extended periods of time
