Job Description
The **Day Supervisor, TML** reports to the TML Head Librarian and oversees the daytime operations of circulation, copy/scan services, and general stacks maintenance. This position also works with the Evening Supervisor to hire, train, and supervise student employees.
Responsibilities:
+ Manages, participates in, and assures smooth functioning of access services during the daytime.
+ Manages the student employment budget and assists the Evening Supervisor in management of the student employee schedule.
+ Works with the Evening Supervisor to hire, train, and supervise student employees.
+ Updates catalog records as needed.
+ End-processes new materials as needed.
+ Works with the TML Head Librarian and the Evening Supervisor to evaluate and set goals for access services.
+ Together with the Head Librarian and the Evening Supervisor, the person in this position plans, reviews, and revises procedures, polices, and workflow as necessary.
+ Maintains statistics and provides reports as needed.
+ Liaises with BC Facilities Services staff regarding library physical plant issues as needed.
+ Oversees stacks maintenance during the daytime.
+ Other related duties as assigned.
Hours are Tuesday _ Friday 8am - 4pm, Saturdays 10am - 6pm, Days off are Sunday and Monday
Full time year round benefits eligible position
Hiring range is $50,000 - $62,500 depending on experience
Requirements
+ Bachelors degree and experience in academic libraries is preferred.
+ This position requires 2 or more years relevant supervisory experience in an academic or theology library or library-related environment are preferred.
+ Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
+ The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
+ Flexibility and ability to adapt to a changing environment.
+ Demonstrated problem solving skills.
+ General familiarity and facility with library-related technologies.
+ The ability to lift 50 pounds.
