This job is responsible for the procurement of standardized materials, equipment, and services for the power industry and supporting the Purchasing Department. Responsibilities include issuing requests for proposals, obtaining supplier proposals, uploading quotes into ERP System, evaluating proposals, issuing Purchase Orders, scanning documents and uploading to a Sales Order database, phone and email communication with suppliers for status updates, creation and maintenance of excel spreadsheets to track order status, clerical support for the Purchasing Department, and other requests as needed.

+ Interface with the other Buyers, Engineering, and Sales to issue Requests for Quotation.
+ After receiving Supplier quotations, upload them into established ERP System program for historical data to be used on future proposals.
+ Issue Purchase Orders in conformance with department procedures to the selected Supplier.
+ Deliver all goods and services at or below budget while meeting quality and schedule requirements.
+ Scanning documents to PDF format and uploading them into Lotus Notes Database.
+ Communicating with Suppliers via email and/or phone to provide update status on Purchase Orders and Quotes, and reporting status to Purchasing Department.
Job Requirements / Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Position Qualifications
+ Education: High School graduate with experience. A bachelor's or associate degree is preferred but not necessary.
+ Experience: No experience is required, however experience in Supply Chain Management and/or Manufacturing is a plus.
+ Computer Skills: Requires above-average computer skills including MS Office products. Database and ERP Software knowledge is a plus.
+ Certificates & Licenses: No certifications or licenses required.
+ Other Requirements: Basic math skills, problem-solving abilities, solid verbal and written communication skills, ability to multi-task, and ability to respond to a fast-paced environment all required.
