Job Summary:
The DRT delivery leadership team has an opening for an experienced Portfolio Director to oversee a variety of innovative programs for the CDC. The Portfolio Director will be responsible for leading a team in the growth and execution of a Portfolio of contracts valued at up to $120+ annually, leading and motivating a talented and diverse team delivering critical proposals, programs, and projects for customers. You will develop and execute a strategy for successful performance and contract growth while also focusing on quality service delivery of current programs. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, securing, and retaining resources that drive successful execution of requirements, and in refining the strategy in alignment with agency goals to deliver outcomes that improve the health of the American public.
This role serves as a critical liaison between the company's senior leadership, Portfolio Managers, Task Order/Workstream Leads, and key Account stakeholders. The Account Lead is tasked with managing multiple teams, delivering on complex IT and management services, and ensuring that the company's services align with the Account’s mission and objectives.
Responsibilities:
+ Leadership and Oversight:
+ Lead the management and oversight of all contract vehicles associated with the Account.
+ Act as the primary point of contact for the Account primary client(s), ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and relationship management.
+ Ensure alignment between business objectives and the Account’s needs, fostering continuous communication and transparency with stakeholders.
+ Drive the development and execution of the account's strategic direction to meet and exceed revenue, personnel, and customer performance goals.
+ Contract Management:
+ Ensure all contract terms, obligations, and deliverables are met across multiple task orders and workstreams.
+ Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance of the account.
+ Ensure timely and compliant submission of all required contract documentation, deliverables, and reports.
+ Team Leadership and Development:
+ Provide leadership and guidance to Portfolio Managers and Task Order/Workstream Leads, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
+ Oversee the recruitment, development, and retention of top talent to meet current and future project needs.
+ Mentor and coach team members, fostering growth and professional development within the account team.
+ Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with key Account stakeholders, ensuring their needs are fully understood and addressed.
+ Actively participate in client meetings, strategic discussions, and program reviews.
+ Serve as the company’s representative in negotiations and issue resolution with the Account clients as needed.
+ Performance and Reporting:
+ Track and report on the overall health of the Account, using performance metrics to drive decisions and improvements.
+ Provide regular updates to the VP of Delivery (and other DRT leadership personnel as necessary) on the status of contracts, client satisfaction, and account performance.
+ Lead risk management efforts, identifying potential issues early and proactively mitigating risks.
+ Strategic Growth:
+ Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Account, including the expansion of existing contracts and pursuit of new contracts.
+ Collaborate with business development teams to create winning strategies for future opportunities related to the Account.
+ Stay abreast of Account priorities, trends, and funding opportunities to align business development efforts accordingly.
Required Experience:
+ 10+ years of experience in IT and management consulting, with a focus on large government accounts.
+ Proven experience leading multi-million-dollar federal contracts, preferably with the Account or other health-related agencies.
+ Strong experience in managing contract vehicle and familiarity with government procurement processes.
+ Demonstrated experience in leading large, cross-functional teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
+ Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
+ Excellent financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and managing profit & loss for a large account.
+ Ability to think strategically and operationally, with a focus on innovation and efficiency in service delivery.
+ Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Preferred Experience:
+ Proven KPI’s include, but not limited to:
+ Achievement of account-level revenue and growth targets.
+ Client satisfaction and relationship strength (e.g., customer satisfaction surveys and CPARS).
+ Delivery of all contract deliverables on time and within budget.
+ Team retention and development metrics (e.g., attrition for voluntary and involuntary).
+ Successful expansion of services within the Account.
Education & Training:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field (required). Advanced degree or certifications (MBA, PMP, etc.) are a plus.
Salary Range:
+ Salary commensurate with experience.
