+ Bachelor’s degree.
+ Available to work some evenings, weekends and travel overnight.
+ Professional experience in college admissions or closely related experience.
+ Attention to detail.
+ Effective and accurate written communication skills.
+ Experience with event coordination.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Texas State employee or alumnus.
+ Three to five years professional experience in college admissions.
+ Experience working with high school and college student populations.
+ Experience with scholarship and/or high ability programming.
+ Experience with comm flows and publications in general, and high ability students in particular.
+ Experience with selective/competitive admissions.
+ Experience with admissions CRM or database.
+ Experience working independently with minimum supervision.
+ Experience working with a variety of student populations.
+ Bilingual-Spanish
Job Description
The purpose of this position is to support recruitment efforts for high achieving first time in college ( FTIC ) student to Texas State by coordination of events and ensuring a high-quality campus visit experience.
+ Assisting with the coordination of university programming such as campus visit days (i.e. Bobcat Day, Academic Visit Days), bus trips, information sessions, virtual events, etc.
+ Daily correspondence, presentations and interactions with families and high ability prospective students
+ Preparing statistical reports, inventory tracking and data for event planning
+ Counseling prospective students and families in the college selection process
+ Coordinate the recruitment of high ability prospective students by facilitating specialized visits
+ Working with cross campus partners in recruitment efforts
+ Coordinate the development of publications and communication plans for top scholars
Job Duties
+ Direct the planning and implementation of top scholar programming and recruitment.
+ Coordinate collaborative efforts among the campus community to recruit top scholars.
+ Counsel prospective students and represent the university at recruitment functions.
