The role is responsible for building and maintaining critical applications that support cutting-edge nursing research, clinical training, and community health initiatives, thereby directly contributing to improved patient care and health outcomes. This is a unique opportunity to apply your development and technical skills in a deeply meaningful, mission-driven environment, working closely with nurse scientists and educators to advance human health and flourishing.

+ Work with end-users, researchers, and administrators to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

+ Implement rigorous testing, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure code quality, security, and maintainability.

+ Uphold best practices in security and data privacy, particularly concerning sensitive educational and health data (e.g., HIPAA compliance considerations in a research/clinical setting).

    Full-Stack & Mobile Development

+ Design, develop, and deploy cross-platform mobile applications for faculty and students using React Native to support educational and research initiatives (e.g., data collection, clinical training tools).

+ Develop robust, scalable, and secure RESTful and GraphQL APIs (using Node.js, Python, or similar backend technologies) to facilitate seamless data exchange between the front-end, Salesforce, and other systems.

+ Manage and optimize server-side logic, database interactions, and application performance.

    Salesforce Ecosystem Management

+ Customize and extend the Salesforce platform (Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, or similar) using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce to meet complex administrative, student success, and research tracking requirements.

+ Integrate Salesforce with external applications and databases via custom API development and third-party tools to create a unified data landscape.
