+ Conduct investigations and deep-dive analyses to determine root cause, scope, and impact of suspicious activity; document findings and support escalations as needed.
+ Develop and maintain early-warning signals and risk frameworks across the full seller lifecycle (pre-onboarding, onboarding, post-onboarding monitoring).
+ Partner with Data Science and Engineering to translate threat patterns into detection logic
+ (models/heuristics), automation, dashboards, and tooling; help define and monitor performance metrics.
+ Collaborate with Trust & Safety, Compliance, and Risk Oversight partners to support governance, consistent triage, and response processes.
+ Create recurring and ad-hoc threat intelligence briefs summarizing trend shifts, emerging
+ patterns, risk tradeoffs, and recommended mitigations for leadership audiences.
+ Drive continuous improvement by turning investigation outcomes into playbook enhancements, policy feedback, and tooling recommendations.
+ Support cross-functional testing and rollout of interventions (e.g., step-up verification,
+ monitoring thresholds, enforcement controls) and measure impact.
Minimum Qualifications
+ 3+ years of experience in marketplace risk, fraud analysis, trust & safety, identity risk, payments risk, compliance operations, investigations, or related analytical functions.
+ Strong analytical problem-solving skills and comfort working with ambiguous signals and
+ evolving threat landscapes.
+ Experience analyzing large datasets and translating insights into operational recommendations that reduce risk and improve detection outcomes.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to summarize complex issues clearly for cross-functional stakeholders.
+ Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience supporting Seller Risk programs in a large-scale e-commerce marketplace
+ environment.
+ Familiarity with machine learning-driven risk models and analyst contributions (feature ideation, labeling/ground truth, threshold tradeoffs, monitoring).
+ Knowledge of threat intelligence methods, including trend monitoring, actor typologies, and network-based behaviors.
+ Exposure to global risk considerations and evolving regulatory or compliance constraints.
Tools & Skills
+ SQL and/or BI tools for analysis and dashboarding; ability to partner with technical teams on instrumentation and automation.
+ Strong Excel/Sheets skills; ability to build repeatable monitoring views and operational reporting.
+ Bonus: Python/R, anomaly detection concepts, graph/network analysis, experimentation
