    What you will be doing

    **Project Work -** Provide technical guidance concerning business implications of technology projects for 20+ applications and create solutions to meet project requirements. Analyze proposed application identity management designs and provide feedback on potential gaps. This person will partner with US and Enterprise technology and InfoSec teams to support and delivery on assigned efforts throughout the year.

     

    Moreover, this role will coordinate and/or perform installations, configurations and system testing producing deliverables related to the various projects, and other technology related projects as needed. Other technology activities include but not limited to: Research, assessment, and migration of applications. The scope of this work includes the design, data feeds, disaster recovery, troubleshooting, testing and implementation. This role will lead and manage internal and external project teams in configuring applications and connection points; working with development teams to design integration points, such as REST and SOAP calls, for API patterns.

     

    Review, plan, test and implement system upgrades and enhancements with internal and external vendor resources. Play an integral role on project teams producing quality and timely deliverables for multiple workstreams. Provide technical guidance concerning business implications of technology projects. Modify, enhance and/or create solutions to meet business requirements. Analyze proposed application designs and provide feedback on potential gaps. Review system patches and updates by vendor to ensure minimal system impact. Perform testing of solutions prior to moving to production.

     

    **Systems Implementation and Maintenance** - Lead and/or coordinate technical research, design, configuration, testing and integration of cross functional, multi-platform application systems. Perform application changes utilizing the change management process. Ensure adherence to all regulatory and information security standards and policies are maintained in all aspects of the application management. Perform or coordinate testing of solutions prior to moving to production. Plan and implement certificate creation/renewals as needed.

    **Troubleshooting and Technical Skills** – Work closely with key business and technology partners to ensure that business and internal client impact issues are well understood, addressed, and resolved. Utilize Incident and Problem Management to effectively resolve incidents and find root cause. Participate in Major Incidents and Disaster Recovery events completing tasks and collecting evidence.

    **Relationship Management -** Build strong relationships and partnerships with technical team members, clients, vendors, and peers. Lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure needs and issues are identified and recommend/implement solutions. Express oneself and communicate with others verbally at an advanced level; recognizing that verbal communication is more than just language - it includes tone, style, and structure.

    How you will succeed

    + Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in an application support role, 1 to 3 years of business experience in banking.

    + Experience with user provisioning software and managing user provisioning migrations and/or software implementations.

    + Experience with using ITIL Change, Incident and Problem management processes.

    + Coordinating the production support needs.

    + Responsible for documentation such as deficiencies, deviations, application flow diagrams, SCM plans, etc.

    + Problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills required.

    + Experience with workflows, forms, and/or reports.

    + Familiarity with cloud technologies such as Azure.

    + Understanding of RBAC, Privileged Access Management, and Privileged Identity Management concepts.

    + File integration experience would be nice to have.

    + Experience with FIS banking applications, including IBS core processing platform, would be a nice to have.

    + File integration experience would be nice to have.

    + Validate and submit responses to requests for information from audits.

    + Digitally savvy; innovative, embrace evolving technologies; easily adapt to new tools and trends.

    + Solid collaborator: Support and mentor intermediate engineers

    + Preferred Experience supporting FIS Core or similar application

    + Preferred Experience supporting core banking application

    + Preferred Experience supporting banker and teller applications

    + Preferred Formal Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

    **Work Arrangement:** _At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. To successfully perform the work, you’ll work in a hybrid environment with the expectation to be onsite at least 2 days per week in Downtown Chicago while the other days may be remote._

This role has an expected salary range of $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 for the Chicago market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
