Sr. Quality Inspector
Position Summary
The Sr. Quality Inspector is a senior role within the quality team, responsible for overseeing inspections, mentoring junior inspectors, and ensuring all products meet or exceed regulatory and customer requirements. This position involves leading inspections of critical products and processes, managing complex quality issues, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives. The Sr. Quality Inspector plays a key role in evaluating and releasing new products. The position requires expert-level knowledge quality systems, regulatory standard, leadership skills, and an ability to manage multiple projects.
Principle Responsibilities
+ Lead and perform complex inspections of medical devices and components at all stages of production, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
+ Maintain a positive and professional presence while representing quality assurance with production teams.
+ Verify conformance to specifications using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
+ Document inspection results and any defects / non-conformances detected.
+ Mentor and train junior inspectors, providing guidance on best practices and quality control techniques.
+ Follow company procedures to perform routine quality checks.
+ Lead efforts in continuous improvement projects focused on reducing defects, improving yield, and enhancing overall product quality.
+ Ensure that inspection equipment is calibrated and properly maintained before use.
+ Assist with the identification of non-conforming products and initiate corrective actions.
+ Work with production teams to identify potential areas for improvement and support quality improvement initiatives.
+ Conduct first piece inspections for quality and appearance in a timely and organized fashioned.
Qualification Requirements
Credentials/Experience:
+ Associate’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or equivalent work experience
+ Six (6) years of experience in an inspection role, with at least 2 years in a lead position preferably in medical device manufacturing
+ Strong math skills to work with fractions and decimals in the imperial and metric measurement systems
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Proficiency with inspection equipment and software, including statistical process control (SPC) tools.
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product defects.
+ Expertise in advanced inspection techniques, statistical analysis, and quality control methodologies.
+ Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
+ Ability to follow instructions and company procedures.
+ Above average skill in Microsoft Office, entering data accurately and repeatably.

Pay Range
$23.00 - $28.00 / hour
