EJ has an immediate opening for a 3rd shift Pattern Shop Crane Operator/Fork Truck Driver starting at $20.00 per hour with an additional $1.50 shift premium.

SUMMARY

Safely operate the Pattern East 4-ton Crane, and other industrial equipment to move materials, to transfer cope and drag bolsters to and from the Pattern Shop setup area and the HWS mold machine.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

+ Safely operate the East 4-ton crane.

+ Perform daily pre-op of the East 4-ton crane.

+ Operator to always wear Yellow Safety Vest for visibility.

+ Assure that the Stop signs on both the North and South ends of the HWS are in their correct locations.

+ Closely watch for any pedestrian traffic between the HWS and the Pattern Shop while operating the crane and communicate when it is safe to walk thru the area while the crane is in motion.

+ Closely work with the Pattern Shop supervision and leads.

+ Communicate with HWS operators as needed.

+ Assure that all bolsters being loaded onto the HWS mold machine are in the correct locations.

+ Assure that all tooling has the correct date tag and shift screw mounted.

+ During any down time perform all needed housekeeping in the area.

+ Drives industrial equipment to move materials.

+ Uses power and or hand tools per work instruction database and associated information systems.

+ Uses computer to obtain and or input information.

+ May aid in training of others.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

One to three months related experience and/or training preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to drive a fork-lift as the job involves large amounts of forklift driving and using hoists to lift castings for a majority of the workday.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. A mathematical placement test will be required.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
