We are seeking an Eligibility Specialist to join our client’s dedicated team! The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills, along with the ability to effectively follow up with assigned clients. A completed BA/BS degree is required for this role.

Job Title: Eligibility Specialist

Pay: $22.92/hour

What’s the Job?

As an Eligibility Specialist, you’ll play a key role in connecting individuals and families with vital housing opportunities. In this position, you will:

+ **Assess eligibility for new applicants** seeking program housing vacancies and Section 8 vouchers.

+ **Conduct re-certification screenings** to ensure current tenants remain qualified.

+ **Serve as a resource** , referring clients to community social services when additional support is needed.

+ **Collaborate across multiple levels** , maintaining clear communication with internal teams and external partners.

What’s Needed?

+ **Bachelor’s degree** in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, or a related field.

+ **Minimum of 2 years of case management experience** within social services, nonprofit, or government organizations.

+ **Strong understanding of public housing processes** (experience is a plus!).

+ **Proficient computer skills** , including the ability to navigate databases, manage client records, and use Microsoft Office Suite effectively.

+ Excellent communication, organizational, and follow-up skills.
