Basic Job Functions:

Resolve ongoing equipment safety & reliability challenges

+ Identify and implement improvements to equipment and processes to reduce costs

+ Plan, prepare, & execute down-day & outage work

+ Support the shift team with maintaining daily operations

+ Perform preventative and predictive maintenance activities

+ Be a Subject Matter Expert on area equipment

+ Ensure adequate sparing

+ Provide effective communication to both the Maintenance & Production team

Minimum Qualifications:

5 years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience

SMAW and/or GTAW, GMAW welding experience

Practical metal cutting & fabrication skills

Ability to interface with Work Order & Safety computer systems

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior Steel Mill Experience

Prior mechanical experience within heavy industry

Prior experience with various mobile equipment

Demonstrated high initiative
