Now Hiring: Clinical Pharmacist
Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is partnering with a leader in specialty pharmacy care, to hire an experienced **Clinical Pharmacist** for a temporary onsite assignment. This role is ideal for pharmacists who are passionate about patient counseling, clinical oversight, and delivering exceptional patient-centered care.
**Pay Rate** $60.00/hour
Schedule
• Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (EST)
• Temporary assignment
**Work Location** Cary, NC 27513 OR Fort Worth, TX
Candidates must live within one hour driving distance of the assigned site
Position Overview
The Clinical Pharmacist provides clinical oversight and safety for daily pharmacy operations while delivering high-quality patient counseling and clinical support. This role plays a critical part in ensuring prescriptions are dispensed safely, accurately, and in compliance with all state, federal, and Board of Pharmacy regulations.
This is a phone-based clinical role, requiring comfort counseling patients for most of the workday.
Essential Responsibilities
_Clinical Duties_
• Conduct comprehensive pharmacotherapy reviews including drug utilization, interactions, side effects, compliance, and administration guidance
• Provide patient counseling for new and ongoing therapies
• Document clinical assessments and counseling in patient charts
• Coordinate care with prescribers, nurses, caregivers, hospice, and home health agencies
• Complete and follow REMS program requirements
• Provide subcutaneous injection teaching and coordinate nursing services as needed
• Serve as a liaison to ensure seamless communication and “outrageous customer service”
• Manage therapy discontinuation and documentation
• Support intake for new patient referrals via phone
_Operational Duties_
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and Board of Pharmacy regulations
• Verify prescription order entry, final product accuracy, and quality assurance
• Assist pharmacy technicians with claims adjudication
• Oversee aseptic technique and hazardous waste management
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure SOP adherence
• Report adverse events and product quality complaints per regulatory standards
Professional Responsibilities
• Maintain CE compliance and pharmacy licensure requirements
• Support ongoing professional development within the pharmacy team
• Stay current on clinical practices, therapies, and pharmacy regulations
• Participate in conferences and knowledge-sharing activities
Qualifications & Requirements
• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy
• Current, unrestricted pharmacist license in good standing
• Licensed in North Carolina or Texas (Kentucky also accepted)
• 3–5+ years of post-graduate experience in clinical pharmacy operations and patient care
• 2–3 years minimum experience in patient counseling
• Must enjoy phone-based counseling for 8 hours/day
• BCOP certified or willing to obtain when eligible
• Strong communication, documentation, and computer skills
• Working knowledge of sterile technique and quality control
